Possible benefits from the study

The participant will have a full health check done, learn about their individual risk factors for heart disease and diabetes, learn about diet and gain expert advice from a skilled nutritionist.

From the study...

If this study proves successful, the study diet could be a relatively simple way for 'at risk' individuals (ie overweight, family history) to decrease their risk for developing diabetes.

The knowledge that is gained from participants will benefit others, contribute to what is currently known or not known about diabetes prevention and its causes.
