Congratulations to Kelvin Burgess, the grand prize winner of last year's raffle 100. Kelvin, who is from Burnie Tasmania, is now the proud owner of a brand new Mercedes Benz B180. Although Baker IDI has been conducting fundraising raffles for over twenty years in Australia, this is the first time we have fundraised in Tasmania and we are delighted that a Tasmanian has won first prize.

Lillian Rooke of Rowville, was overjoyed when Baker IDI called to tell her she had won a brand new BMW 118i in last year's Raffle 99. Lillian has been buying raffle tickets since 2006 and has always thought of them as donations. Lillian supports Baker IDI through the raffle program because her 19 year old daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2009.

Another winner Norma Reynolds, who also lives in country Victoria, was more than pleased to journey to Melbourne to pick up her new Mini Cooper Cabrio she had won in our Raffle 94.
She firmly believes research is the way to prevent and find better treatments for diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and to ultimately reduce the suffering these diseases inflict. Norma herself lives with diabetes and hopes new discoveries will improve treatments and reduce the complications diabetes causes.

| Barry and Marion Snowden from Ballarat were over the moon when Baker IDI rang to tell them that they had won a new BMW 118i in this year's Raffle 93. While fortunately there is no history of diabetes or heart disease in the family, as a school teacher, Marion is very aware of the dangers of obesity in our community and was very happy to support Baker IDI's research. ‘The more research into the prevention of these diseases will mean the less people will be admitted to our hospitals in the future.' | ![]() |
